New Patients
The pediatric dentists of Pediatric Dental Associates are now accepting new patients! We’d be happy to have your child be treated by our children’s dental team. New patients and parents can at times be nervous about that first visit to the dentist.
It’s our goal as a pediatric dentist to make every child’s visit a positive experience by offering kid-friendly entertainment, a gentle approach to care, and fun prizes upon a successful visit. We know that the more fun a patient has, the more likely they are to become engaged in their oral healthcare.

Your Child’s First Visit
The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends the first trip to the pediatric dentist occurring around the time of a child’s first tooth eruption, or by their first birthday. However, it’s never too late to focus on your child’s dental health, and we are comfortable treating children from infancy to adolescence. Our gentle approach to dental care ensures the comfort of even the most anxious patients. We strive to make each visit fun and enjoyable so that children become engaged and interested in maintaining healthy oral habits at home.
Thank you for considering us to care for your child’s dental health. During your child’s dental treatment we ask that you remain in the waiting room. If your child is not comfortable with this arrangement we will try to accommodate a parent in the examination room. Following the dental check-up, the doctor will meet with you to discuss his/her findings and discuss any treatment that your child may need.
Please prepare our little visitor before coming to see the dentist. It is important that you talk to your child and explain the visit. Tell your child that the dentist will count his/her teeth the same as you would count their fingers. Please do not tell your child about any negative experiences that you or someone you know may have had at the dentist. We want your child to have a healthy smile and to enjoy coming to the dentist.
Please remember to bring:
- Your insurance card
- Social security card
- Photo ID
- Insurance referral (if required)
- Insurance Co-payment (if applicable)
- Appropriate custody or legal guardianship paperwork (if applicable)
Check your reminder texts for a link to complete your New Patient Paperwork online. If a parent or legal guardian is not available to attend your child’s appointment, you must submit your New Patient Paperwork in advance and list other person(s) authorized to bring your child. The parent or legal guardian must be readily available on the day of the appointment in case the office needs to reach out via phone.
