Joanna Mangar is Chief Resident of Temple University’s Hospital Pediatric Dental Residency program. She’s a part of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Dental Association. Joanna attended Bates College and went on to graduate from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine (DMD). She loves serving patients at our Allegheny Avenue location. She grew up in Jamaica and currently resides in Philadelphia. when she’s not at work, she loves spending time outdoors running, hiking, and being on the water. She and her husband love to travel together and when they’re not exploring new places, you can find them playing their favorite board game, “Ticket to Ride”.
I chose pediatric dentistry because of the unrivaled opportunity to make a meaningful and lasting impact early on in patients’ lives. I love my job because children can be so sincere and open. It is a true delight to see the world through their eyes!
