There are many philosophies and policies that guide our business and approach to care. Please note that each office may have its own unique policies.
Financials & Insurance
Pediatric Dental Associates works with a number of insurance providers. Our insurance staff will be happy to explain any questions you might have about your dental insurance. Sliding fee scales are available with proper documentation at select locations.
We schedule patients as appointments are available and as they best suit the patient’s needs. It is the patient/parent’s responsibility to keep the appointment. Keep in mind when scheduling appointments for younger children; earlier in the morning is better.
Cancelled Appointment Policy
If you must cancel an appointment, we appreciate a call at least 24-hours prior to your scheduled visit, so that we have an opportunity to replace your child’s visit with another patient. If your child is sick the night before or awakens sick in the morning of the appointment, or if you have an emergency situation, please call our office immediately and leave a message with our answering service.
Missed Appointment Policy
We recognize that we all have busy schedules and can occasionally forget something as important as a dental appointment. In order to effectively provide dental care to all of our patients, we unfortunately accept only two missed appointments in a calendar year. Regrettably, if a third appointment is missed during this same 12-month period, we will be unable to continue to see your child.
Child Supervision Policy
Please be advised that it is against Pennsylvania state law for you to leave the office while your child is receiving dental treatment. If it is necessary for the doctor to make changes in the treatment plan we will need your consent to make these changes. We are not able to provide treatment for your child if you are not present in the office.
